News Flash - Husband Declares - End Of The World!!

My husband called this afternoon to bid me a fond farewell and tell me he'd see me in heaven. He's convinced the world is at an end.

Why? He found himself in agreement with Jesse Jackson. The Reverend Jackson is down in Florida, supporting the parents of Terri Schindler (Schiavo). Here's a short quote from Jackson today:

"I feel so passionate about this injustice being done, how unnecessary it is to deny her a feeding tube, water, not even ice to be used for her parched lips," said Jackson, who has run for president as a Democrat. "This is a moral issue and it transcends politics and family disputes."

Good for Jesse Jackson! I give him an enormous amount of credit for actually standing up for a belief. (As opposed to the knee-jerk opposition-reactions 99% of the liberals suffer from - more on that later.)

It just goes to show - never say you've seen it all!

Here Goes Nothing

I've never been one for "jumping on the bandwagon" - but what the heck - I'm jumping.

I'm thinking of this as my own little "Letters To The Editor" page - in my own little newspaper. Things you won't find on my blog: cursing, liberalism, political correctness, . . huh, I would have thought that list would be longer. I guess I'll have to amend it as I go. Don't worry though, I figure my Mom will probably be reading this (not to mention my husband), so I've got built-in editors right there. First Amendment - schmirst amendment - you and I know the power and influence of parents and spouses!

I haven't read a lot of blogs - mostly because I figure one of two things would happen: 1. I would get so worked up disagreeing with some of them - my head would explode, or 2. I would get caught in an endless blog-reading-discovery-web, never to be seen again.

But, I think since I'm jumping on the blogwagon, I should check out the territory. But, the point is, I'll bet that a lot of blogs started off pretty much the same way this one has. I honestly think that there aren't many original thoughts out there any more - just original ways of sharing those thoughts. So, if I seem unoriginal, so be it.

All right, here goes nothing.
And welcome to my blog.
